Business Development Top of the Agenda for Lawyers

For almost 20 years I've been championing the role of business development and client development in law and professional services firms. So I’m excited that Prodonovich Advisory is sponsoring a master class workshop on this very topic in the lead up to the 2014 ALPMA summit.

The master class is ideal for law firm leaders and managers wanting to extend their understanding of business development. It will be led by Julie Savarino, a US guru in client and business development for lawyers (and a lawyer herself).

The theme of this year’s ALPMA summit is “thrive and prosper”: a clear sign that business development and innovation have now become the weapons of choice for competitive advantage and growth - particularly for small to mid-sized law firms.

In fact, in 2013 ALPMA and LexisNexis surveyed 121 law firms for a joint report called "The Impact of the Changing Legal Landscape on Australasian Law Firms". The survey participants overwhelmingly said they were responding to the changing legal landscape by investing in business development and technology.

And 102 of the 121 surveyed said their investments in growth and technology were working.

ALPMA chose Julie Savarino to lead the master class because she is an inspirational and charismatic speaker who has published hundreds of articles on effective business development. She has developed apps and training programs and won awards for her work in this area too, including for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education and a Legal Marketing Association "Your Honor" award.

Julie also has plenty of real world experience, having helped thousands of lawyers and other professionals around the globe generate millions of dollars in new business by providing strategic and client development services.

Registering for the pre-summit master class workshop gives you additional value with a confidential one-hour preparatory assessment email and optional phone and email follow-up consultations after the workshop.

Sue-Ella Prodonovich is proud to have been a speaker with, and sponsor and supporter of, ALPMA  for the past 10 years
